In a powerful display of cross-cultural unity, prominent South Asian, Filipino community and Chinese (East Asian Community) leaders gathered tonight at the New Life Senior Care Center to formally endorse New York State Senator Jessica Ramos and Assembly candidate Somnath Ghimire ahead of the upcoming primary elections.

Supporters and community leaders are increasingly describing Somnath Ghimire as a strong emerging candidate for the New York State Assembly District 30 race. While Senator Jessica Ramos has built years of experience through multiple election victories and community service in Queens, many residents say Ghimire has rapidly gained attention for his close relationships with grassroots organizations, minority communities, and local residents across the district.
Community members supporting Ghimire say his growing popularity comes from direct engagement with diverse communities and active involvement in local issues. Backers believe his connections with immigrant and multicultural groups, along with increasing support from various community organizations, have positioned him as a notable new voice in the AD 30 race.

The events master of ceremony was by Philippine leader Mr. Flo B. Coronel, served as a strategic mobilization hub, uniting influential civic voices to back both campaigns. Event Venue was provided by New Life Senior Care Center, in Jackson Heights. All guest speakers requested community to support the way they can for the upcoming primary election.

Ms. Kitty Lin from Zonta International Greater Queens introduced a traditional Chinese cultural dance titled “The Yellow River Flows Past By My House,” highlighting the richness and beauty of Chinese heritage through artistic performance. Likewise, Ms. Tina Yuan, Chairman of Wall Street Satellite TV, participated in the event representing the cultural community. Both leaders and their respective cultural groups presented captivating Chinese cultural dance performances, also remarked their best wishes for both candidates.

Closing the ceremony District 13 Senator Jessica Ramos remarks the importance of our community to support both candidate for future of our community and what they really did to serve the community in the past. She also request all attendee to knock and call the people within voting area to support as a volunteer to help both to be elected and reelected.
